On Thursday, January 18th, the class and I went to a gingerbread tasting in Strasbourg. We tried a variety of different treats ranging from sweet to spicy. All of which was very savoury and delicious. I enjoyed the speakers level of information on the bread, giving the class and I a detailed overview of the different types and their meanings, as well as adding which ones were the locals favourites.
My favourite thing that was shared, was these amazing chocolate eggs. They were decorated and coloured to look as if they were real eggs, but when I first bit on one, I was blown away with the rich and full flavour. I knew I had to buy some, following the conclusion of the tour.
